You're nearly up to last year's totals in Sept. YXX recorded just over 150mm last September.
YXX usually gets significantly more rain than YVR and I usually get more than YXX but less than Mission. Lots of microclimates in the Lower Mainland.

By 6:00 pm/6:30 pm, it was raining (really) heavily in Coquitlam.

I had the luxury of being outside for Sunday’s downpours as well as tonight’s! The things we do for our kids!

Good thing Town Centre has really nice turf fields.

A mixed bag of following winters in that list.

2004-05 is a winter I try to forget. Yet another failure in January on the level of 2011. We were on track for a 1971 repeat in both instances only for the rug to get pulled under us just a few days out.

The North Coquitlam Gauge recorded 10.5mm between 6pm and 7pm. Quite a bit in just an hour!

What we really need is 10.5 cm of snow in an hour.

I don't recall ever experiencing thunder snow here. I know Portland did during their snowstorm in Jan 2017 but can't think back to any of our intense snowstorms and remember seeing/hearing any thunder or lightning.

Found a vid which captures the thundersnow during that intense blizzard down in Portland in Jan 2017:

I saw that.

I'm well above 30 mm since this morning and still raining moderately. Final score tomorrow morning.
