But I go out to relax..fly fishing is too much work and I don't have a fly rod either.
:damn:
Dragging hardware around the lake takes the fun out if you could hardly feel the fish. I also troll around and enjoy the relaxation and scenery but strictly use flyrod and flies , when the fish strikes rod bends in half. Once you catch fish on a flyrod you'll never go back.

I do prefer catching fish on the fly. Watch lake can be pretty challenging for fly guys/gals though, especially during the summer, I usually tend to troll willow leafs, especially once the weather warms up. Can do pretty well with wooly buggars and leaches earlier in the year. My favourite type of fly fishing is casting from shore in streams and rivers. Favourite spot is on the south Thompson just upstream from juniper beach. Haven’t been back in years but I’ve caught some nice rainbows, 16-18” on the fly rod and with strong current.....lots of fun.

Early next week is looking really pleasant and sunny. Could be some gusty offshore flow with chilly mornings in wind sheltered areas

You gotta go deep , having said that I usually avoid fishing during mid summer unless it's a high elevation lake . Stream and river fly fishing sounds like fun but have never really tried it.

Ya, Impressive winds this morning! Also possible thundershowers out in the valley, and a chance for frost tomorrow morning. Couple fun days weather wise. Chilly 6c outside.

It’s snowing heavily in the Fraser canyon this morning. Roads look clear though.
