Sherriff Gooser I hope you don't loose sleep over this, you should have gotten a job with E.C.'s quality control.Canada Goose wrote: ↑Fri Jun 14, 2019 8:28 pm Yes, but I'm very suspicious about the 31.2C of the 30 June 2013.
June record.jpg
- The hourly max was only 26.1C...
- The air was very humid (dew point of 19-20C), which doesn't favour large temperature variations
- Wind was light all day with no drastic variations of direction
- Sky was clear all day
Other Tx on this day:
26.6C in Vancouver Sea Island (1.4km from YVR...)
27.8C* in Vancouver Harbour (* hourly max only)
30.0C in Burnaby SFU
30.3C in West Vancouver (not a good station)
30.9C in Delta Burns Bog
31.0C in Richmond Nature Park (no hourly data)
33.3C in Pitt Meadows (not a very good station)
So, I don't believe (at all) in this monthly record.
For me, the all-time high of June (reliable) is 30.6C on June 2 ( ), 1970.

Mr. running man, I wonder if Johnny went to see them play back in the day out here in Chilliwack at the old arena, maybe he has an 8 track of them. I two bounced between LG73 and CFUN and the phrase that pay's (I listen to CFUN) for 10 grand. They also went to all news for awhile the call letters were CKVN they switched back to top 40 again then they bought the CFUN call letters back from a station in the Maritimes I recall. Actually I use to tune in to just about every station I was a DX'er if anyone knows what that is.
Actually I went to see Chilliwack in 2017 as they were invited to be a part of the white rock concerts on the pier series , the old geezers weren't bad still belting out Well we fly by night, it's like a rocket flight And baby that's just what it's for We fly by night, it makes you feel alright It keeps you coming back for more! But the band that was the best by far was Eagle Eyes(Eagles cover band), and they are coming back this summer! I have provided a link to the concert dates for those who are interested.

Re: June 2019 Forecasts and Discussions
Models have little to no rain next week. It was a longshot anyway. Maybe end of month but I doubt it. I think 2015 is a good comparison so no rain until probably a quick deluge some time in July and than late August the rains will come. Expected to be a stronger Typhoon season especially in August and September so we may see some of that moisture if the westerlies are right.Roberts Creeker wrote: ↑Fri Jun 14, 2019 12:10 am I should'a but didn't have any eggs with me. I did have some little tropical fish I'd just bought and a big (Costco sized) bag of beet and sweet potato chips so I could have had fish and chips...the fish are only about 1" long so a very small snack.
Much nicer (cooler) day today, and it has sure cooled off tonight, had to turn the fan off, it was getting too cold inside. Happy to see a cooler forecast too. Just need some rain in it now.

Check this out Sherriff Goosey, these are all the air monitoring stations in the GVRD and lower Fraser valley most record temperature, wind etc. these have got to be some of the worst set ups for temperature. lots of photos of station locations that will knock your shorts off.
