Congrats Stuffradio and Mrs. Stuffradio! That's great news! I guess we shouldn't cheer for a blizzard around her due date? Haha

Forrest Gump wrote: Tue Jul 30, 2019 10:25 am I'm glad you said short lived although the heat doesn't really bother me but usually there's a few whiners around. August is probably the worst month for forest fires but I definitely hope the trend continues for later in August as I'm going to Nakusp and Nelson for a few days of relaxation in 3 different hot springs and then visit my sister on the way back who bought a summer home in Sicamous.
I am one of those whiners. I have no idea why but I swear my entire being stops functioning above like 25C. I dont want to do anything or even think. I sweat like a pig just walking out the door  it doesn't really make sense. Most people are heat lovers. I get it for recreation, but for those of us who work, I cant figure out the value of a 30+C day. I grew up In kelowna too.

SWS up for the Sunshine Coast,

'Early August Heavy Rainfall for Vancouver Island and the South Coast of British Columbia.'

I wonder if it will actually deliver.

I'm worried about my tomatoes blowing over if it gets too windy on Friday. What direction will the wind be coming from?

Extremely rare for this time of year. This is typically the heart of the dry season.

Unbelievably rare for this time of year. Thankfully, it's supposed to be short lived and go back to summer conditions by the weekend. Everything should look green and the air should feel fresh just in time for the sun to come out on the weekend. Love it.
