15.4mm here in south Sardis I had a wind gust of 37kmh just before the rain stopped.

Yup, same here. The wind came up really suddenly, but died down just as fast.

Very convective conditions. I just got another 3 mm in 10-15 minutes, for a total of 23.6 mm now.

Models are showing Saturday nights front intensifying as it crosses the south coast. When that happens we often see a bit of a lag in the timing of it shifting thru and south of us. 20-40mm seems like a reasonable expectation at this point.

I was listening to CBC the other day and the lady from Victoria called in from Victoria stating that Victoria is so awesome because Vancouver gets 2 and a half times the precipitation.

Gawd I hate it when people exaggerate the weather.

1200mm/2.5 = 480. That's Vernon level, not Victoria!

The driest part of Victoria is probably 600-650mm range. So closer to 1/2 of what Vancouver gets. Probably 1/3 or less of the wetter parts of the lower mainland
