This is the time of year where I find dry weather the most appealing. Weve passed the fire season, It's not too hot and those cool crisp evenings are the best.

Yeah at face value it looks like a 24C/10C type pattern.

Ensembles continue to show a cool/wet next 10 days followed by a significant warmup during the last week of the month.

Been looking at some past monthly data and still just can't get over the demise of January as a winter month. What should be our coldest and snowiest month of the year has turned into a mild rainfest over the better part of the past two decades.

At YVR...
The last -10C reading? 2004. That's nearly 16 years ago now with no -10C temps in January.
The last January with 20cm+ of snow? 2002. Pushing 18 years now.
