At least it's something. Better than the persistant mist yesterday.

I do think we'll eventually transition into a W/NW flow type pattern later on in the month with lower snow levels continuing into December. Though if you're looking for major arctic cold, it'll probably hold off till late Dec

11F in international falls? Pretty crazy for early Nov...I'd be happy if we touch that in January...0F would be even better of course. 8-)

International Falls is the icebox of the US. The Canadian station of Fort Frances, ON (just beside) is as cold as it.
This will be very cold for mid-November but I'm not sure it will be unprecedented.

I'd be happy if the coldest weather held off until early Jan. Time to break that curse. YVR hasn't hit -10C in Jan since 2004. :(

I'm thinking more like triple shot. Early or Mid Dec for 10 to 14 days cold and snowy..followed by a reload for another few days. Then pattern break followed by the triple shot with frigid arctic cold in Jan..like the good ol days..

Ensembles pointing towards a pattern more conducive to mountain snows beginning early next week with 850mb temps hovering around 0C.
