So here's a fun little coincidence (or maybe not a coincidence). Every year my aunt comes to visit us for Chinese New Year, and she usually leaves around 1-1.5 weeks after. Past few years running, she's run into snow delays at YVR because of #February.
2017: CNY Jan 28th, cold snap Feb 3rd to 8th with snow every day
2018: CNY Feb 16th, cold snap Feb 17th to 24th with the big storm on the 23rd
2019: CNY Feb 5th, extended cold snap beginning Feb 4th with snow every day from the 10th to 14th
2020: CNY Jan 25th, Euro ensembles hinting at #beginningofFebruary
She's leaving on the 7th this year. Just saying.
She may never come again after this year.

With all this wet weather we've been getting and if it keeps up for the rest of winter ,I'm sure we'll have to pay the piper this coming spring and summer with extended dry periods much like the last few years,and we know what that means , forest fires.If my memory serves me right last spring and most of summer was pretty dry but some rain here and there in August saved us from another bad forest fire season.

Yes and any hot spells were short lived and comfortable. I didn't mind last summer at all.

Traditionally a week long celebration, from the eve to the 7th day of the lunar new year.

No skiing but you can go muddin! The farm is an ABSOLUTE ****show right now. Just walk out of my house and sink into a deep mud pit. To think how beautiful things were not a week ago!
