With the trade dead line coming up should the Knucks pursue a top 6 forward? and who ?l heard Ty Domi's name mentioned for Pozkolzan however it's spelt. Also it's sad the Ferland experiment is pretty much done what a waste of money for nothing 2.0

Remember that trade deadline that came close to matching the hype? Yeah me neither  . This one will be no different.
The Canucks in particular cant make any big trades. Unless someone took a bad contract off our hands. Which they won't. Maybe Winnipeg with their new found cap space will do something.

Holding out hope LE retires. Tell him he'll be riding the bus for 2 years and see what he does.
Ferland might be an LTIR candidate.

Also who makes the playoffs? l can see the Flames getting knocked out Preds or Hawks sliding into that last wildcard spot.

Sounds possible but not sure if Benning has the heart to do that. They certainly seem to be in a bind with the cap which shouldn't have happened when in a rebuilding phase. Too much money being paid to bottom six players. So now what do they do with Markstrom, Tanev, Stetcher, and Virtanen needs a raise, then in a year or 2 they have to back up the brinks truck for Pettersson and Hughes.

Preds and/or Blackhawks could be dangerous if they get in, especially Chicago as they have nothing to lose considering they weren't expected to make playoffs. Ya that 107 pts by the flames last year is a distant memory. Hopefully our canuckelheads can hang on to make this year's playoffs a little more interesting. They need to fix their power play, not sure what the deal is exactly, they don't seem to have an answer for the extra aggressive checking on Pettersson and Boeser on the half wall, and yet year after year ovechkin has no problem scoring from that area on pp

After dissing the flames a bit they come in and clobber the canucks  . If Pettersson keeps getting manhandled and cross checked to death with no penalties called and no push back from his teammates then I can't see them doing anything in the playoffs, providing they make it to the dance. You can bet that Hughes and Boeser will get the same treatment.

Nice to see Canadian Nick Taylor win the Pebble Beach Pro Am after pairing up with Phil Mickelson. It's pretty cool that Taylor and Adam Hadwin both honed their skills at Ledgeview in Abbotsford. I was rooting for Taylor even though Mickelson is my favourite golfer. I probably took a liking to him since he's one of the very few lefties on tour, and I'm also a lefty. What I find baffling is how on earth can there be so few lefties in golf and yet have so many lefties in hockey, and probably more lefties than righties . I shoot left in hockey and grip a snow shovel in the same manner with the left hand below the right hand,so to me it only makes sense and seems natural to hit left in golf. But nooooo , most hockey players who shoot left actually hit right in golf.
What gives? Makes no sense to me. One of the great mysteries in life.

Oh yes Gumps the Lames ran circles around the Knucks l did not enjoy that game last night 4 losses now. They can't afford to loose anymore or first place is gone look at the log jam now. Yes nice to see Nick Taylor win Pebble beach does he get an invite to Augusta is it? btw Boeser is injured now out at least 2 games.

Watching a couple of canucks prospects on Northeastern university in the Beanpot tournament on tsn. Down 2-0 but Northeastern comes roaring back in the 2nd period with 4 goals and leading the way were the canucks drafts, Aidan McDonough 1g 2a and Tyler Madden with a goal. Let's see if they can hang on. Adam Gaudette was instrumental in Northeastern's Beanpot victory a couple of years ago.
