Yes, that's the manual gauge total.
The digital gauge typically lags behind during heavy rainfall, though it usually ends up tracking pretty close over longer periods.

Here's a question for the experts? my weather station for rainfall has event, hourly, weekly and of course monthly and yearly. I'm assuming weekly runs from midnight Saturday to midnight Saturday. So whats the criteria for event l can set mine for 24 hours 48 hours etc. the default is 48 hours, how long should l set it for?

But typically the polar vortex weakening is good news for us if we want cold arctic air and snow if I'm not mistaken. Usually it allows the arctic air to dive south, either SW or SE. We want it go SW, which it sometimes does and sometimes doesn't. Time will tell.
