Would it be the Olympic donut hole effect on this area? Why Mt Lehman can get much more snow than McCallum.

13.7c in Fort Nelson, 3.6c above the previous daily record. It was -21c last week when I was there. My timing was perfect I think after the really cold period but before today's warmup.
Why not try cycling to work, grocery store, anywhere!

Quite a thermal boundary. More so than any arctic outflow difference.

Imagine if the temperature dropped that fast? I think there is going to be a lot of condensation with the heat in the valley.

Downsloping in southerly flow off nearby mountains.

Same reason why Bellingham torches hard in these sort of conditions.
