My cousin n law has hit the big leagues, rubbing shoulders with local media guys like Ian McIntyre, etc. Cameraman probably thought who is this young whipper snapper, and decided to use him as a photobomb in the Tocchet interview, not once but twice  ...at the 1:50 and 6:50 mark.

People are saying Ovechkin won't pass Gretzky in goals.

I disagree. He's just having an off year. It's been 7 years since his last off year, which is the longest he's ever gone between off-years. Also, isn't it interesting how whenever Ovehckin has a really bad year Crosby has a really good year (in terms of goal production)...

Who's saying that? Whoever is doesn't know anything. He has 2 goals tonight and 2 last games. He also has 16 goals in his last 21 games. Typical OV pace. The start of the year was an anomaly.

The Washington capitals were playing with a new rookie coach and system this year. A lack of talent as well with Backstrom basically calling it a career the main set up man OV's whole career. The system Washington played to start was very passive, not offensive at all. OV has always struggled with that. After the all-star break, they geared the offense back to OV like they have for the last 7 years, and now him and the team are scoring again.

The one bad year he had in his career when it was also a defensive and passive system

He's 49 away, and he will be fine. Don't be surprised if he pots 40 next year.

Blah blah. Ov also missed 130 games due to lockouts and a pandemic. He also missed his rookie year. He would have already beaten the record a few years ago.

Plus, he's scoring like this where teams actually play D. Block shots and goalies are amazing. He's scoring in the toughest time there is to score goals.

Back then, you take a snapshot from the center, and it goes in, lmao

Amazing under-rated hockey player year in and year out. Has lead the kings in scoring 15 straight seasons while playing a shut down role.

Unbelievable .

Also, Gordie Howe played until he was 52! And he was scoring in his 40s at the same pace he was in his 30s! There will never be anyone like that again.

The WHA was the 1980s NHL on steroids. Well, the run and gun 1980s was sort of imported from the WHA, which is why Gretzky scored so many goals.

But Ovi gets more goals per game, so ya, I'd say he's the best goal scorer of all time. Hard to compare eras, but it's a strong case.

Nothing against that era or the players, but it was so easy to score. lol OV walked in when the league was the lowest goal scoring era with goalies playing amazing and rules not allowing scoring.

Nowadays, teams have schemes and plans, but yes, I agree with what you're saying.

There's zero room for debate or discussion, Sidney Crosby is the greatest hockey player of all time. No one ever in NHL history has recorded more than a point a game for 19 seasons.
