It couldn't have been an A380 since Sea-Tac can't accomodate it. According to Chris Vagasky on Twitter it was a 787. Based on the given time of 4:45pm, this was ANA 117 to Tokyo Haneda, reg JA805A.

C-FITU was struck by lightning at YVR three weeks ago and that was also caught on video, by a student pilot. Flight AC860 to LHR. Made CBC News: https://youtu.be/yrJhSvVbqh0

You can tell by the single return stroke, smooth channel (lack of branching), and brightness that this was a +CG.
Yeah he updated his tweet to say it was a 747

I was about to say this is playoff weather! Dare I say maybe patio weather at a restaurant to watch a game ?

Playoff hockey in Vancouver is going to be amazing.

Maybe it's just me, but as I got older, I kinda like shorter days. I have no idea why.

Maybe the same street  :)
In Willoughby. It's crazy busy here with all the construction going on. Maple Ridge is much better in terms of busyness but it's not any cheaper. I'm very close to Walmart, Save on and Costco which is very nice and convenient.

it's a coffee shop so likely closer to the household vacuum than anything commercial.

Indeed. Even more for daily rain "records"...

On March 27, it fell 27.2 mm. Wow, daily record smashed!

Since 2000, YVR has had more rain on a single March day in 2022, 2017, 2015, 2007 and 2005. It was very close (> 25 mm) in multiple years (like 2018), so there's nothing out of the ordinary.
