Antares wrote: Tue Dec 31, 2019 6:35 pm Not to sound negative but it was an utter shite day here on the North Shore. Dark, depressing, and soaking rains of varying intensity. Can't wait to move to a sunnier and colder climate.
Trust me..take a winter vacation in this area. Cheap and so enjoyable.
MAYDAY MAYDAY! We need some warm sunny weather this month. Some showers mixed in would be good too

That says it all really. Cold air repelled north by the sheer energy of subtropical moisture.

Well, at least Terrace, Ketchikan, and Prince Rupert will get some decent snowfall. Even Sitka.
It always snows in December in the Kootenays

For fun, I decided to do a reanalysis of the 500 mb pattern throughout the December 2008 arctic blast. There are 17 photos. Is there anywhere on this forum that I can post them without annoying the crap out of people? I can only upload 6 per post so that would be 3 posts of photos that people may or may not care to see  Mods, what are your thoughts?
