EPS does show colder air working south on this run. Also shows a heat wave on the east coast. A blast furnace by January standards

Yeah okay there EC been fairly dry
There should be some very heavy rain overnight as the warm front lifts north. But it’ll be heavily dependent on orographics and mostly focused closer to the mountains

Getting heavy rain here now.
Raining on the ski hills as well. Lame.
Radar looks f'd up as usual. Such a garbage coverage for our area.

2.0c out here, my winds are still out of the N/NE just seeing if once it swings around to S/SW how much of a temperature jump I get whenever that happens.

Wind warning up

4:37 AM PST Friday 03 January 2020
Wind warning in effect for:

Metro Vancouver - central including the City of Vancouver Burnaby and New Westminster
Metro Vancouver - southeast including Surrey and Langley
Metro Vancouver - southwest including Richmond and Delta
Strong winds that may cause damage are expected or occurring.

A strong Pacific storm will bring a brief period of significant wind to the south coast on tonight and Saturday morning.

Southeast winds will gradually strengthen throughout Friday, particularly for areas near Haro Strait and the Strait of Georgia. Late in the evening winds will briefly reach 70 km/h before becoming southerly.

Once the winds shift to southerly, areas further inland such as Langley and Abbotsford will see a brief period of winds also reaching 70 km/h.

In the early morning hours of Saturday the winds will shift once more to southwesterly. For areas near Juan de Fuca Strait, winds will again reach 70 km/h. Winds for areas near Boundary Bay and southern Surrey will also remain strong.

Winds will slowly ease through the Saturday afternoon.

Certainly windy here in Bellingham right now. Yesterday night was interesting. Went into a meeting and it was in the thirties F with cold rain. Came out and it was around 50 and getting breezy.
It's called clown range for a reason.
