Check out how clean the back end of the front is. SW winds will be very strong in the wake of this storm.
That's great and all, but there's next to no wind north of the Fraser it seems. All along the way from North Van back home, nothing except rain.

That's what you get for living in South Vancouver

You guys tend to get hammered by the W winds.

Snow levels also look to tumble in the wake of the front...will likely transition back to snow at the North Shore mountains by midnight.

Of course I believe Brett Anderson since his grammar is impeccable. With a proper use of hyphens between such words as drier-than-normal and lake-effect snow, I'll gloss over his busted summer and early autumn forecast. :D

upper levels starting to cool:

Snowing again on Washington. As for the wind warning, we get gusts and about 10 minutes of sustained winds and then they die. We've had about 5 episodes like that since 3 pm. Not the usual warning criteria.

Those maps aren't Brett's forecast, they're just what the ECMWF weeklies are showing. He did do a winter outlook back in October... https://www.accuweather.com/en/weather- ... ook/602489

Not much wind here in North Vancouver still.

Had some big fat tropical drops of rain falling on me though.
It always snows in December in the Kootenays
