Warming trend but still cold on the GFS and GEFS. Model collapse? Or just getting back to reality?

My grass and Arugula lives strong..Jan 4?

Models cant get any colder than the record cold (ala 1950 :crazy: :crazy: )...so warmer trends are obvi likely. Don't sweat 4+ days anyways :thumbup:
Looking forward to our first 3 day stretch of sun and 20c++ 8-)

I think anyone expecting those record cold runs to verify was only setting themselves up for disappointment. Ahem... AF

Anything is still possible but it’s best to remain realistic.
Models are running way too cold in the 7+ day range. Next Less cold is being incorporated into the systems in the believable range, and next weeks systems are looking more wet than white. Looks like the goods will come in the 10+ day timeframe again.

Gfs is slowly caving to other models. Arctic air is nowhere in site with next Friday’s storm. Still some over running snow to rain situations next week. With Friday the best bet for widespread accumulation
North end of Shawnigan Lake. Southern Vancouver island. 500ft

Compared to how things looked, we are sitting pretty right now. Some snow, some rain followed by almost certain eventual arctic air and more chances. Oh no!
