Hey that looks pretty good better than anything else weve seen on the models in recent times.

With last year being quite a bit drier than normal, I'm not surprised it's been so wet this month.
Hate the rain though.
It always snows in December in the Kootenays

Re: January 2020 Forecasts and Discussions
I found these new temperature averages through a tweet by Chris Doyle. It's interesting. Basically January through April is normal/cooler than normal for us and everything else is warmer.

Strong Niña. Where’d you read that? ENSO forecasts are typically low skill this time of year butSardisbcwx wrote: ↑Thu Jan 23, 2020 4:07 am Clown range yes, but where's is going to go? it's amazing to think a month ago we were looking at the early Jan models and looking for hope. Now it looks like winter's done, next year is forecasted to be a strong Nina apparently.

Anyone mind posting the ensembles? I noticed a light at the end of the GFS, cold onshore flow with decent potential.

Yep. Remember all the complaining about the lack of rain. We will pay for it.

Re: January 2020 Forecasts and Discussions
It sucks but is this pattern not more conducive to another blast of winter? Similar to the pre arctic blast pattern in early Jan?
