It's sad, but ya, time for some nice sunny 15c days.

So YXX recorded only 2 overnight lows that weren't below +0.5C for the entire month of February, and another 3 that were close enough we may as well call it freezing. The rest all recorded below freezing. That must be a record...

Agreed. But it would be kind of funny if we followed up with a historically cold March. Pattern lock!

I'm not exactly rooting for it, but it's not completely off the table either. I just hope that if we do have to put up with another month of cold, we can get at least one epic snowfall.

Welcome back! :D

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's a record, but I'll check to confirm.

I guess we’ll see. Long range ensembles look to try to return us to seasonal. But having said that, the pattern at day 8-9 on the GFS and GEM looks like something we might see prior to a cold snap. If that low pressure in the pacific is held back closer to Hawaii, I wouldn’t be surprised if models trended colder.

Pretty much. It was also the coldest on record by mean temperature.

Top 5 February's for number of days with minimum temperature <0.5C:
1. 2019 (26 days)
2. 1989 (23 days)
3. 1949 (22 days)
3. 1975 (22 days)
5. 1957 (21 days)

If you go by exactly <=0.0C, then 1989 and 2019 are tied at 23 days. However, 1989 has a colder average minimum temperature.

Top 5 February's by lowest average minimum temperature:
1. 1989 (-4.0C)
2. 1949 (-3.7C)
3. 2019 (-3.3C)
4. 1956 (-2.4C)
5. 1957 (-2.3C)

Top 5 February's by lowest mean temperature:
1. 2019 (-0.3C)
2. 1989 (0.3C)
3. 1956 (0.5C)
4. 1949 (0.8C)
5. 1975 (1.5C)

No. Looks like at least another 10 days of suffering for those who are done with this year.
