Re: August 2019 Forecasts and Discussions
Some light showers here. The cells appear to be dying as they move north, but there are more developing.
Really mild last night, only got down to 16.5C at my place. That might be the warmest night so far this summer, which hasn't seen a lot of warm nights.

Re: August 2019 Forecasts and Discussions
Yeah you're right. I just remember the airshow that year was cool and wet... but looking at the stats I see that we flipped back to hot weather a few days later. That was a pretty variable month. The last two weeks of the month were generallyquite cool and wet, though.
Someone brought up 2008, so I guess that's why I was contrasting the two months.
Seasonal and mostly dry seems like a good bet.

I am taking a helicopter tour of Mount Waddington tomorrow. Call on the weather Gods to delay the rain because if it rains, I'm quitting these forums for good. Okay, maybe not for good, but at least for 2 hours.

Well....unfortunately the winds have changed today and the wind is blowing north from the Eagle Bluff fire. I’m not gonna lie, we are a little freaked out. We are still about 10 km away, but we can see the fire from our deck.

Not looking good iceman..I hope your tour starts early.
Are we prepared for this stormy, chilly and wet November, LN style, with our first warning shots coming early due to this potentially historic LN

Should be done by noon. Speaking of not looking good, Salmon Arm keeps hitting double digits in the NEGATIVE!
