This was their reasoning when I complained:

“Yes, this is not a bug. It is normal. The GFS has 25-km grid spacing and snow does not accumulate over water. So, the coastlines that contain water + land are empty or missing.”

Bizarre. I’m pretty sure the GFS went to 13 or 15 km resolution. Maybe WxBell just updated the grid spacing on the maps. I don’t know.

How about that one 00z run that buried us in snow this weekend.

Yea they were useless around here. I paid last winter basically just for euro access

Yes, Nito. I think we all get that. However, as you know, this is a weather forum. We’re going to post models and talk about the possibilities. You’ve been here since the beginning. We’ve always done it. Being told over and over that it is 10 days away, etc etc kinda gets old.

We still like you though.

Their reasoning is a little odd too. Because the south end if Puget sound has perfect looking snow maps even over water

I sent them a Weatherbell map asking why theirs is much better. Their response:

“Looks pretty much the same to me. However, they seem to smoothen the edges a little bit. Do not see a benefit in smoothing, makes it less accurate to the actual model output.“

BS if you ask me.

Looks the SAME. That person must have been blind :bs: the coastlines are where people actually live around here. Seems kind of important. They are just being lazy. Doesn’t Ryan Maue make the maps. He also was originally responsible for The weatherbell maps.

Friday can still trend better as Monty said sometimes 3 or 4 days out the models flip to a better or snowier solution for us. I expect back and forth on the details for Friday all the way up till next week.

As of right now doesn't look good for places at sea level but that can change.
This Monday looks like a SFU special.
Overall I like this pattern there's lots of potential for snow and I'd take this over dry arctic air anyday 🤷‍♀️
All about them Cowboys !!! 🤠 🤠

I agree with snowedin.. we love you El Nito but telling us over and over10 days away gets to you. We can see it keeps getting pushed back and posting a week old map we know you were superior. Or someone else bragging over and over its going to snow 3 feet at his outhouse he owns. Give us a weather report once in awhile temp, snow depth etc. set up a weather station that's more interesting to me.
