Crazy. I got down to 12.8C this morning, and that's despite hitting 32C yesterday. Warm nights don't seem to be an issue here so far.

Fantastic news. I had dew on the lawn this morning so it must've been decently cool overnight. Hopefully it continues!

My personal weather station coldest temp (had it since December 29, 2016) is -9.8C set in Feb 2017 and then again in Feb 2019. I was so choked last Feb standing there staring at my station, hoping for -0.1C at the very least because what I actually wanted was to crack negative double digits.
But psychologically you hit -10c but in your head, that leads me to think the winters around here alway's plays mind games with us. Which come to think of it I'm sure our song writer Gumpers can pen something funny from this using the tune Mind games by John Lennon, take it away master Gimp.

Isn't that where ice cubes come in? You know, just to test that it actually supports double negative digits...

Their stand alone weather stations with temperature/humidity or temperature/humidity/rainfall are o.k. it appears. Sorry for the confusion, even their new Atlas station has issues by what l've heard.
I knew you weren't specifically insulting my station. :D I was just giving you a hard time, because I do that too all my friends. :D

But it would be totally okay if you didn't prefer Acurite stations. I just got the one that was suited for my needs.

Here's an interesting video on why the power goes out and how storms can affect the distribution system. Of course, this was not based on BC Hydro's system, but its pretty universal as the distribution system most if not all other power companies use, operates the same.

It's kinda like how a couple times in the past few summers we hit 29.8 or 29.9C at YVR so the airport never recorded a real 30, but it was agonizingly close.
