With this moving solidly inside day 10 we are going to want to see some ensemble improvement. More than just a couple members showing arctic air.

Ensembles had been pretty similar with the latest runs. 12z is finally starting to pick up on the possible colder weather. Big improvement.

Were you forecasting +17 for south of the border? I think +14 was actually a reasonable call for the warm outliers today, you just threw in the +17 for dramatic effect.

+14 to +17. Models indicated temps could spike into the 60's earlier this week but this died with the 100km/hr + winds. Downsloping southerlies in the Valley can really warm up the lower atmosphere in perfect conditions. Seem to recall a +18C reading in Jan back in the early 2000s.
