More realistic with the cold on Saturday and Sunday but Friday is very snowy. 15-25cm across Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley.

Where did that almighty low go on the 00z? Looks to be much further south than previous runs.

More marginal temps right on the harbour...around 5-10cm.

Fraser outflow looked pretty strong from those two meter temp anomaly maps...that wouldn't make it stay as snow longer than modelled?

It's still there, just doesn't tap into that brutally cold airmass in northern BC.

Very active pattern the next 10 days. Lots of rain and win along with some snow. Extreme cold usually comes with extreme jet supression and dry conditions. NW flow with cold enough maritime air does the trick and usually brings most snow.

Yeah...good access to cold air in the interior. Temps still look to be a touch above freezing which would limit accumulations.

Since this is still 7 days out...best not to get caught up in the details. Next run will show something completely different.

Gotta give Nito his due , he said 14°-17° in some areas was possible, while there was no talk of mid teens by any pro mets that I know of.
