:o Wow Skipper is it the new variant? I heard it was just detected in B.C. a few days ago and the person never travelled outside of B.C.

What else can it be. I beg to differ with global news,I think we're the first ones, since last week. The thing is,most people will think they just have a cold, but my wife lost a bit of her taste and smell, that's why she tested.

Interesting. I thought that symptom was no longer so common. I had COVID last summer and I never lost my sense of smell.
It's called clown range for a reason.

Anyways nice blue skies out there and 22°
Covid was always going to become a yearly thing like the flu.

Problem is the models did a complete 180, now warmer and drier weather could return by mid month and what looked like some rain for Sunday is now a measly 30% chance of showers.
Just yesterday this same map looked like we were gonna get a rainy period! Not anymore

Got to see how close the fires got to Kelowna. Frontline firefighters did all they could and saved many from disaster.

Bummer. Euro & EPS continuing the trend from yesterday: looks like a ridge come the 11th. I hope that holds. All three kids' passports have now arrived. Looking forward to some fair weather some September weekend to take them to Mt. Baker.

Last I update I saw (August 28th) showed the proportion of the total area burned from the Donnie Creek wildfire (in NE BC) has shrunk... in early summer it comprised about half the total area burned across the province but at about one-quarter to one-third now.
