Re: February 2024 Forecasts and Discussions
I recall it was March..maybe Mar 4 or 7?
Started in the afternoon and ended late evening
MAYDAY MAYDAY! We need some warm sunny weather this month. Some showers mixed in would be good too

First few impulses here will hit late this afternoon and evening but will be mostly rain showers. HRRR and RGEM are in good agreement with snow flurries in the early morning.

Looks like some cells are approaching the LM from the S/SW. Could be some hail/graupel showers soon

Mulroney died. Maybe that will lift my March jinx?
It's called clown range for a reason.

Re: February 2024 Forecasts and Discussions
It’s feeling pretty ominous on the west side. Feels like a thunderstorm is on the way.

I'm thinking maybe the sacrifice of a retired PM might do the trick.VanCitySouth wrote: ↑Thu Feb 29, 2024 3:32 pm Ah yes, Mulroney, famously the gatekeeper of Rubes' March snow.

Between -1C and -3C. So might have a bit more cold to work with than this past snow event Tuesday night.VanCitySouth wrote: ↑Thu Feb 29, 2024 11:58 am What are the surface temps during the action? The Walmart maps look pretty good (maybe just BELOW freezing).

I thought sacrifices were only effective if they're Bono-adjacent (i.e. plane related)Rubus_Leucodermis wrote: ↑Thu Feb 29, 2024 3:40 pm I'm thinking maybe the sacrifice of a retired PM might do the trick.

Re: February 2024 Forecasts and Discussions
We are now conducting an experiment to test that hypothesis. If I record measurable snowfall IMBY next month, the hypothesis will be falsified.VanCitySouth wrote: ↑Thu Feb 29, 2024 3:44 pm I thought sacrifices were only effective if they're Bono-adjacent (i.e. plane related)
