Looks like some thunderstorms on the island around Parksville. Hope we can get some night time light shows? Been a long time since a good thunderstorm that lights up the night sky.

Cape map looks good for tomorrow

However storms modeled to not be over us. I must say this is a new model output I haven't seen before. Cool

Random topic. I was talking with my wife about Tornadoes tonight, and we looked up the Tornado that happened by Mission last year. We saw that there was a Tornado in Pitt Meadows in 1991. Does anyone know of any videos or pictures of it? I also saw something about one in Coquitlam in 1988. Lots in Vancouver.

I remember seeing that on the news back in '91.

As usual Washington and Oregon get the better action. The system is going further south than was forecast just a few days ago. Latest GFS is almost totally dry for Friday for areas in the lowlands. Mountains will get a few scattered showers. Ive received a measly 1.2mm so far and this very brief pattern shift was supposed to be a much needed soaking before the Godzilla (or I should say King Ghidorah) ridge rebuilds and we get another heat wave . Only soaking my plants got was from the garden hose.

0.5mm here today. On top of 0.3mm yesterday. Really starting to add up here. Tomorrow looks like the type of setup where we might see some heavy showers drift off the mountains of southern Vancouver Island

It sounds like a lot of members on here are not looking forward to next weeks major heatwave I take it? I'm ready been using the central air for like a month now so refreshing, may not here from Johnny till it cools down in October now. Sherriff Gooser I'm sure will be out and about in his 1990 Toyota Tercel (Turtle) gathering pics of weather stations in bad locations, Gumps golf game will soar like the summer heatwave as well.
