Don't believe the min temps at Salmon Arm!. Here are the August climate numbers. Something is very wrong!

What happened to those 30-50mm GFS runs from a few days back. Guess it ended up in Washington
North end of Shawnigan Lake. Southern Vancouver island. 500ft

Beautiful hot and sunny weather today in the Chilcotin. A bit cloudy in the morning, but it cleared up in the afternoon. Perfect for a helicopter ride. I ain't leaving. It clouded over and rained around 8 tonight though. More coming later is what I see in the forecast.

Or we could go with the GfS solution. 850 mb temps of 27C. That’s on the upper end of what is historically possible here

We decided to not go down that far. At $1500/hour, we decided to just go 15 minutes down the valley and not 30 minutes (how far down the Waddington flight is). My dad was paying, so he called the shots.

Here is one pic you might like. a mountain top 7 Years in Tibet scene was filmed here. The covered all the trees in white sheets to make it look like it was far above the tree line.

Ground is completely dry here. What happened to the rain?!

Today was supposed to be the big day and it just dies right at the last minute... :wtfyell:

Looks like the jet will become increasingly amplified as we head into late August. Hence the wild solutions from both the GFS and euro.

Picked up 0.5mm the past 2 days. Currently 21C with sunbreaks. That ULL was a total bust here.
