GFS is chilly in the mid and long range. A ridge builds over western Alaska allowing the downstream trough to set up over the PNW.

More signs of fall in the 12z long range. The return of the Aleutian low.

Hum, I don't accord a great credibility to the data before 1945 (because of the weather screens/shelters).

Doesn't look like it. Ensembles look cool and wet.

Although I'd expect we see a dry spell towards the end of September into early October if this pattern verifies. Still time for some late summer temps at that point though we are most certainly done with the 30C+ weather this year.

Second straight cold and wet September seems almost confirmed when you look at the latest model gfs trends. Let's hope we can shred that blob in time for winter!

That's ok , all I need is around 20° to get some more fishing and golfing in before the monsoons arrive.

It really feels like any 30c days are done maybe a mid 20 day if we are lucky. Over all we had short hot spells and lots of comfortable days this summer.
