Bring back December where we can easily hit 18°C. #nito

Max of 13.8°C in Lytton, coldest high in July since 1999 when it was 13.3°C and 11.8°C :shock: on July 2 & 3 (monthly record).
During these 2 days, the daytime high didn't go above 11°C... Crazy.

15.2°C in Kamloops (not more than 14°C during daytime) -> 15.1°C in 1999
14.8°C in Ashcroft (not more than 13.3°C during daytime) -> 12.5°C in Spences Bridge in 1999 [no station in Ashcroft]
14.8°C in Vancouver -> 13.8°C in 1999
14.2°C in Lillooet (not more than 13°C during daytime) -> 12.4°C in 1999
13.5°C in Pemberton -> 11.3°C in 1999
13.5°C in Pitt Meadows -> 12.4°C in 1999
13.4°C in Hope -> 11.2°C in 1999

That's exactly what I told my wife as we drove to west van to try to enjoy our anniversary in the ambleside dundarave area. Bought some lunch at wholefoods and ate in the car at ambleside beach. Then cancelled our patio dinner at cactus club and came home earlier than anticipated with Chinese food. Worst Canada day weather that I can remember. But we still went for a nice rainy and damp walk along the seawalk, and sang a stirring rendition of Mr. Rogers Beautiful day in the Neighborhood.

Max of 58ËšF (14.4ËšC) at KBLI today. Coldest day on record this date was in 1954, max of 55ËšF (12.8ËšC). So it could have been worse.

Actually, “worse” would be hot and humid. Worthwhile trade-off to have the occasional cold, drizzly summer day in return for not getting the sort of punishing heat waves they get further east.
It's called clown range for a reason.

Hum, I don't know exactly. Maybe top 10.
I know that the lowest max is 12.8C on July 2, 1938.

1999 was a very cold July for parts of the west. Calgary even got some snow that month. :lol:
