Another wet day here. Already 10mm+. And another wet September. 3rd in a row. I guess we’ll have to start looking at wet and warm September’s for our winter analogs.

There's a pretty heavy downpour here by Langara but no real radar returns. Very odd.

Oh, yuck. From the most recent Seattle forecast discussion:
One other note is that guidance suggests that some smoke from
fires in northern California may be transported offshore and back
around into the Pacific Northwest late by late Wednesday or
Thursday. While confidence in the precise timing and just how
concentrated the smoke may be remain quite low and depend on many
factors (including fire behavior/smoke production and winds
aloft), this wouldn`t be expected to be nearly as widespread as
the persistent smoke earlier this month. For now, just something
to be aware of and continue to monitor in the coming days.
It's called clown range for a reason.

I had a feeling. Oh well, might be a lot lighter this time.

Yeah there was noticable snow on Mt Cheam this morning too. Usually happens when Whistler peak gets snow.

I'm hoping we get December 1996 style snow this winter. :D  8-) :snowman:

Hopefully it won't be bad down here. Russ Lacate said today it would just add haze up high but not affect air quality.

More #FakeNews by the media. September was very warm, but the hottest on record, heck no!!!! There's not a single weather station anywhere close to the Okanagan that was warmer in 2020 than 1998.

I think it said it was the warmest at a specific Kelowna station with a short period of record.
