00Z GFS is a complete mess. Obviously has no clue whats going to happen in the long range. Just outputting a variety of possible solutions each run. What we need is the short term to improve. At this point, its probably a 50/50 chance.

Let me guess: somewhere around day 10 or beyond, right?

Two weeks ago, the GooFuS was predicting a full-fledged arctic blast by the 4th of this month.
It's called clown range for a reason.

I lost my databases when my old computer harddrive died, so can't look it up at the moment, but I believe that Pleasant Camp (at a mere 200 and something meters above sea level) has been the snowiest place in Canada some winters.

Looks good to me. They rise up the box as the snow comes down so it's always the right height above the snow. Maybe the green bars should be white?
