Very very light snow north slope of the hill here. Don't have a proper thermometer

Canuck wrote: Sat Jan 23, 2021 9:23 pm You are 100% correct. Weather Pro made an incredibly rude and confrontational comment to Nito, and then whined when Nito did much less in return. Classic example of being able to dish it but not take it. Gotta have much thicker skin than that.

Weather Pro's snow bias can be fun for sure, but I haven't noticed him be particularly accurate over the years.

P.S. my friend texted me to say it is 3 degrees and lightly raining in Ladner.
I'd have to agree with you in that Nito's comment, while it went a bit too far, was not nearly as rude as the one WeatherPro made.

Nito just made a joke about his forecast. WeatherPro told him he belongs in a mental institution.

It seems rather hypocritical to complain about Nito making fun of your forecast when just prior to that you told him he belongs in a mental institution and that everyone should ignore his forecasts.

That said, I do greatly appreciate and value WeatherPro's contributions here. But the drama he initiated by a totally unnecessary rude comment was unfortunate.

I do hope he stays on our forums but I also hope we can all refrain from being disrespectful.

Snow flakes on the Malahat

Euro seemed much further north with the track of the low compared to some other models. Not great for here. Nanaimo to CR get nailed.

The track on the Euro is similar to the pre Christmas snow.

Different dynamics at play though.

With this dropping in from the NW, I’d guess the further north track is probably better for the mainland. More moisture available.

For my area, the southerly track would be much better. If the Euro verified, it won’t be snowing much on the South Island.

EC radar shows that little splotch over the west side has moved west of me, and the snizzle has stopped accordingly for now.
