The 6Z GFS from this morning looks pretty dry in the second week of May.

Hopefully not a hot May seasonal suits me just fine.

I would still prefer a warmer May with milder evening temps for my garden to get a solid start before June rolls around. I know the long range says normal but in my mind normal can be Junuary and that always messes with my tomatoes (I have priorities  )

Hey thanks for the kind words BTW. I'll try and post more! Ya we have had some hot May's lately. 2015, 2016, 2018 and even last May's heat wave around Mothers day. I'm hoping for normal for a change! The 12z is quite wet it has the ridge far enough south allowing a parade of systems into our area. I doubt it will be that active. Cliff Mass has a post about the drier than normal spring so far and he expects it to continue.

Looks like a bit of an outlier there C79. But nice and average appears to be what to expect for the next couple weeks, other than that brief spike in temps.

That little spike has been there for a while from what I can tell. I wonder how warm it will actually be though because it's not like there's all that much time for surface temps to follow.

The front looks like it's breaking apart. Only a few sprinkles here so far.
