Man oh man. I already wasn't really in the mood to celebrate today, now this. There are no words to describe the bleakness right now. Even as the pandemic is coming to a close, other things pop up to take its place. Oh well, the way she goes I guess.

I see the usual group of bandwagon jumpers have deserted the forum since the heat stopped even though there are other important weather related issues going on all over the province. Sad. :problem:

Did the fires in and around Lytton burn out or have they moved?

Very sad to see.
It always snows in December in the Kootenays

Not gone, just been too miserable to post.

My mom and I had to have her 18 year old cat put to sleep on Monday during the worst of the heat. Then I heard about all the deaths from the heat wave. I was starting to feel better yesterday until I heard about the devastation in Lytton.

I could have dealt with the heat on its own, but I'm just done.

That's terrible man. My in laws are hosting family today and I was in no mood even before one of them started defending residential schools just now. It's also hard to celebrate when a whole town just got destroyed a people likely died on top of all the deaths that occured this past weekend.

What happened to the town of Lytton Abbywx cat and the residential schools in the past is all very very terrible! And sad.
but that doesn’t mean we can’t celebrate the good things we have! Count your blessings everyone!

Human Caused.. :problem:
the most frustrating thing about this, aside from the obvious, is that the Lytton fire is suspected human caused

if that is true I hope whoever it was is feeling all the guilt right now.

There has been some talk about it being caused by a train.

Will need to wait for official word though.

I heard some talk about a passing train possibly starting the fire but we probably won’t know for sure until they do a more thorough investigation.
