00Z GFS takes any chances of showers away this weekend and next week's soaker is barely that. The interior gets shafted too. :tiredos:

The 00Z GEM is good and bad. It continues the trend of weakening any chances of showers this weekend, but it looks better next week for a region wide rain event.

Certainly nothing official of course but in 2012 at my place here in Chilliwack I recorded 8 mm of rain in 80 days up until October 12 when we had 8.4 mm.

I'd take that one and run. The showers seemed dubious anyways. Right off the back of a significant heatwave? I haven't seen that in a long time.

I feel like things are going to just get watered down as we get closer.

Trough is digging closer to the coast on the 00Z Euro.

Edit: Definitely taking a step towards the GEM/GFS.

That's a bit of a relief. The EPS earlier was pretty concerning. We'll see if the ensemble holds up.

2 coniferous trees in the yard are lost...intense heat stripped the outer bark on one of them.

2018 was the worse fire season ever. How does this year compare to that year on the same date? Here you go...
