How can it already be August!? In a couple of weeks sunrise will be after 6 am, which is sad. Bring on Pumpkin Spice Latte! Haha

I'm thinking we get some intermittent showers followed by an immediate return to heat. Hopefully it doesn't drag smoke off the ocean with it like that time in 2018 I think. We had a nice rain but I think some California smoke was sucked in.

Smoky orange sky and 27C here already. Another warm one. July is looking like it’ll end up top 5 warm at Shawnigan Lake. Probably top 7 or 8 warm months all time.

There’s a whiff of smoke in the air here but surface air quality is not that bad… yet.
It's called clown range for a reason.

Very poor visibility with thick smoke and low cloud on the crowsnest highway between Princeton and Allison pass late this morning. Was dark as night at times, air quality was extremely bad and a murky mist was falling.

Surface smoke became less of an issue to the west of Manning park and seemed to be mostly aloft after Sunshine valley. Also looked like areas east of Agassiz saw *some* rain this morning but basically nothing to the west.

Edit: Also seemed to be some surface level smoke in the Agassiz/Mission area but it's all aloft here in east Coquitlam.
