Winters over l'm throwing in the forks, now l know l said l wouldn't do that this year but after feeling more confident a week ago of a possible return to winter the last week of January l'm fairly confident we had our winter. I'm satisfied with it l'm hoping we don't see a February event as it's just a waste of an early spring.

+17 in Tofino yesterday

Sheriff Goose is on the first ferry to Tofino to checked the exact sensor location it must be 4 feet above ground level and 6 feet away from any buildings on the north shaded side.

Unfortunately, long range models are trending away from the colder pattern for the end of the month. It could be that the models were just too quick with the pattern change and that models will trend colder for February. However, the latest Euro weeklies also backed off on any cold for February. Therefore, my confidence is decreasing that the cold will return to the PNW this winter. Hopefully we can at least get a warm and dry pattern if it doesn't get cold and snowy.

We can also hope for a March 1951 or 2002 repeat.

Yeah l just feel like we used up our 9 lives of winter Jr. Man.
