February 2022 Forecasts And Discussions

Post by SouthSardiswx »

Well here we go what will our new rodent Okanagan Okie say will this month be a sweetheart for more cold and snow. Or a climo Nito month :D or will it be as ole Gumps would say weather is like a box of chocolates you never know what you'll get.
All l know is higher sun angles means longer day's and eventually spring.

:alert: Nito.
Looks like our first episode of bommy Feb temps is on the horizon. 12c and sun!!
Of course it could easily be 18c and bommy during this strong EN, but instead March starts out troffy and chilly!  Bring on some 18c sunny days

Had a brief soft hail shower @ the pond this morning currently plus 3c.
Interesting forecast E.C. has the temp.remaining at or just below freezing on Wednesday for the central valley and Abbotsford  l had mentioned in the January thread that modified arctic air would move into the canyon later today.
With some leakage into the central valley looks like E.C. agrees. I'm no Professor predictor Neets but...thank you no applause needed. :D :congrats: :bravo:

You can tell January was pretty uneventful because it had 10000 posts less than December!

Yes that is true but we were all pumped and excited in December as well. Then once we had the cold a lot kind of had enough I guess. We lost the mega posters Trio of Storm, Cat and Bono

Where is everyone? Tomorrow looks quite snowy for many areas in the Lower Mainland, especially Metro Vancouver. It's going to catch a lot of commuters by surprise.

2-4 cm for many area's by the afternoon before it transitions to drizzle/rain later on in the day. Potentially 5-10cm higher up.

Ensembles hinting at a 2019-like setup. Been a few runs now. :silent:
