Or:

3:28 PM PDT Thursday 11 August 2022
Severe thunderstorm warning in effect for:

Nicola
At 3:28 p.m. PDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking an area of severe thunderstorms capable of producing very strong wind gusts, up to nickel size hail and heavy rain.

These severe thunderstorms are located over southern Nicola region just south of Merritt. These severe thunderstorms are moving northwards at about 15 km/h.

Heavy downpours are likely to cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Large hail can damage property and cause injury. Strong wind gusts can toss loose objects, damage weak buildings, break branches off trees and overturn large vehicles. Intense lightning is likely with any thunderstorm that develops. Lightning kills and injures Canadians every year. Remember, when thunder roars, go indoors!

Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are likely to produce or are producing one or more of the following: large hail, damaging winds, torrential rainfall.

Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to BCstorm@ec.gc.ca or tweet reports using #BCStorm.
Let's hope this April brings some ~24c sunny days. Yesssss

I hope there is copious amounts of moisture with these storms or else this could set up a pretty horrible end to the fire season.

Nothing too exciting here. Some rain, some sunny days, and no extreme heat. That's all I want though...no extreme heat. Still scarred from June 2021! :tiredos: :o

Pretty impressive sunset here this evening, visible underneath a thunderstorm. Lots of lightning as well!
