SouthSardiswx wrote: Thu Sep 01, 2022 1:11 am That's an insane stat for August @ YVR, does that include a record humidity of 90% plus every day. :roll: :shifty:
It's a pretty tame stat overall imo, since the median number of days >20c at YVR in August is 28.

The signs of yet more ridging are becoming apparent :tiredos:
Of course it could easily be 18c and bommy during this strong EN, but instead March starts out troffy and chilly! :shock: :shock: Bring on some 18c sunny days

Perfect thanks for posting this! So we hit the second warmest August since 1945 at yxx. That's pretty impressive!

Nice work on those stats!

I'm curious how Abbotsford ranked for dryness. I know June was fairly wet, so I'm more interested in July+August. (And for temperature, as well.)

Thanks.

I only have full archives for YVR. It was a lot of work to compile all the stats!

What I know about Abbotsford:

- August 2022 was the hottest August ever;
- August 2022 was the hottest month ever;
- July-August 2022 was the hottest JA ever;
- With 12.2 mm of rain, July-August 2022 is one of the driest JA ever (maybe the 2nd ever). I think the record is 7.6 mm in 2017 (to be confirmed).

Nice marine push, currently 19-20°. Marine clouds to the west, I presume at boundary Bay.

I am not surprised (okay, maybe a little).

I just wish I had been able to enjoy it more, rather than working a bunch of OT shifts. :x

I have the summer precip stats for Abbotsford going back to 1936 and a graph posted in the Abbotsford stats thread updated to 2020 or 2021. I'll post/update them in a bit.
