CAPE values not as impressive today but atmospheric conditions still suggests potential tstorms could impact E Fraser Valley later.

Of course it could easily be 18c and bommy during this strong EN, but instead March starts out troffy and chilly! :shock: :shock: Bring on some 18c sunny days

@Catnip
Good thing you're not heading up there this pm :shock:

Similkameen
Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain.
Severe thunderstorms are likely to develop late this afternoon and are expected to continue through this evening.
Lightning kills and injures Canadians every year. Remember, when thunder roars, go indoors!
Severe thunderstorm watches are issued when atmospheric conditions are favourable for the development of thunderstorms that could produce one or more of the following: large hail, damaging winds, torrential rainfall.

Could you take a photo of the "Welcome to the Similkameenz" sign , not to prove that it exists but to know how to spell it.

:alert:
Unconfirmed and unreliable reports of up to 3" of rainfall in cabin country in the last 48 hours in the Similkameens :shock: :shock:
Musta been some kinda downpour during the T-storms. :raindrip: :raindrip:
These events occur periodically, and the bulk of the precip that falls in the summer months in the Similkameens is from weather like this.
