Just 12.6mm here in July. Comox was even drier with only 5.2mm for the month.
North end of Shawnigan Lake. Southern Vancouver island. 500ft

July was VERY dry. Someone probably took a leak into the Burke Mountain rain gauge. Comox was only 19% of normal!

Cambell River was 22% of normal, Tofino was 64% of normal, and in the southern interior, Silver Creek (near Salmon Arm) was 39% of normal.

You have to hit 51N to find above normal wetness. Around Williams Lake was near 200% of normal.

Abbotsford... 50.1mm, which is 116% of normal.

Must be why the mosquitos are so bad out here. Can't even set foot in the forest without being swarmed.

So I just checked my rainfall totals for 2019 and compared them with 2020's totals.

Looks like 2019 was significantly drier at 1,263.3 mm versus the 1675.9 mm that fell in 2020.

This gives a difference of 412.6 mm.

You can clearly see the effects El Nino and La Nina here. :thumbup:

Capped off January with 46.6 mm yesterday. A fairly wet month with 230.0 mm in total and a trace of snow.
