The SWE is 25:1 today. Very dry. 7 mm of water at my place = 17.5 cm of snow today!

I'll have to check my manual gauge later, but it seems like I'm running quite a bit ahead of you this month.

Neither of us lives in a great spot for heavy rain, if that's your thing.

I do find that the heavier rain makes things more exciting, and thus makes the endless days of rain slightly more tolerable.

Edit: 231.4 mm for the month.

Today was much less wet than forecast. I only picked up about 11 mm since yesterday afternoon.

All together I've picked up an additional 41.7 mm of rain since Friday evening, which means I'm at 273.1 mm for the month including melted snow.

523.3 mm in Burke Mountain for this month -> record high for January (since 2014).

It's also the second rainiest month ever (since 2014) after November 2018 (608.8 mm).
With the monster coming on Friday, the all-time monthly record is in jeopardy...

My final storm total is 93.4 mm.

Here's a rough breakdown:

Thursday (5 pm - midnight): 14.3 mm
Friday (all day): 64.0 mm
Saturday (to 7 am): 15.1 mm

The Davis VP2 recorded 91 mm, so not as far off as I thought.

My total for January was 351.4 mm.

Here's the breakdown of the storm for me:

Thursday evening: 15.4 mm

Friday: 59.1 mm

Saturday morning: 7.1 mm

Storm total: 81.6 mm

For some reason this seems a bit low, but I think that was due to the wind. The location of my rain gauge on my front deck may not be the best for days when its windy. Perhaps I should find a better location? It could also be a lag during heavy rainfall but it seems to do fine when its not windy. Who knows. Environment Canada shows 119 mm storm total for the Abbotsford area.

My January totals are skewed due to my previous station's technical difficulties. Thankfully Sardines has me setup going forward.

Can you post a picture Jr. of your rain gauge location. If it is close to a bldg. then yes in can skew the readings. Also you can calibrate the gauge it should be in the instructions. Or the best way is to get the Stratus gauge like Abby Sr. to use for calibration and a back up but they are pricey l believe. Quinn Hughes does it again!
