It's a very cool area in summer. New all-time record in June 2021: 33.4°C and 3 max > 30°C in a row. In July 2021 (not a cool month in SW BC), the highest max of the month was... 17.6°C!

What's with temperature sensors placed on the lighthouse towers, like Race Rocks it's stupid.

Alberni Robertson Creek.

Clearly not a good station (45.5°C in June was well overestimated; 42.7°C in Port Alberni on the same day, same elevation, 4.6 km apart).

No room for weather instruments on the ground. For lighthouses stations, it's not a problem to put them on the tower (constant wind).

No, trees are very far. Photos were taken from at least 200 m. Good station.

It's interesting how the "snow board" is elevated off the ground like that. My friend's grandma used to run the Kleena Kleene 2 weather station until she retired and moved away, and her board was on the ground. Also, I was there once and the rain gauge looked slanted like Sardis pointed out in one of your pics.

Unfortunately Glace quality control has waned over the years.
It makes you wonder accuracy of many stations, l would say PWS are probably more accurate.
