We drove to Hixon the night before to pick up out new pup and we were a little on edge that it was snowing lightly and we only had summer tires on our motor home. Luckily it was dry snow so it didn’t stick as we drove through.

Rubus_Leucodermis wrote: Tue Mar 31, 2020 10:35 pm Now that’s crazy! I thought the outflow event we had earlier this month was atypically late! And we had outflow winds in late September as well.

What’s next? A multi-year “outflow drought” where we see nothing more than fleeting accumulations of slush in the winter? (Sure hope not!)
How are you hanging in there Bellingham man stay positive and we'll all come out stronger.

A little stir-crazy, but at least I can get out and ride my bike on the farm roads. COVID-19 was found in another nursing home here today, probably another big batch of Whatcom County cases coming up.

I could read between the lines and tell this was going to happen well over a month ago (and prepared for it), so it’s not a huge surprise to me.

Yeah, nursey homes were the first pretty much in North Van here. Not a word from Weedman probably recovered and went on a weed bender.

Not sure if it's true since it's April 1, but someone posted a tweet saying this was the coldest March since 2012.

No, in YVR this is the coldest March since 2009. 2012 was slightly warmer.

2012: 5.6C
2020: 5.4C [3 days of data are missing but, according to hourly data, the Tm should be 5.4C]
2009: 4.9C [5.1C after homogenization]
...
1951: 3.3C
1897: 3.2C
1903: 3.2C

The degradation of the weather stations continue... Williams Lake used to be one of the most reliable weather stations in the province, reporting complete and hourly data since 1961, but of late, it's full of holes... https://climate.weather.gc.ca/climate_d ... onID=50820

The person was talking about Seattle. Sorry I should have specified that. That still would have been impressive, even more so that it's 2009 instead.
