You even posted an article that suggested mass hysteria is taking hold, well I'm suggesting that applies to this alt right crazytown, not just leftists, and let me be clear, it applies to so many leftists too. God I hate the left vs right paradigm...it is so useless. But anyways, here we are.
Yeah, mass hysteria is not relegated to any "side" per se, but obviously is easier take hold depending who's in government or whatever the media narrative may be. It's a very powerful tool and can have serious consequences as we've seen in history.

I completely agree with you on the left vs right debate... it really is useless. Especially these days when one word or "wrong" move can get you ostracised or canceled on any side (be it left or right). Most of the time it just boils down to lack of understanding or comprehension of what political terms (which have been increasingly weaponized today) mean; for example when people associate liberalism with communism, which makes absolutely no sense at all.

Our domestic production is non existent. I believe it was scrapped back in the 90's. It also makes you wonder why we have most of our medications produced in China. If we ever get into a trade war with them they could absolutely decimate us, just withhold meds. To be clear, this is the fault of both Conservative and Liberal Governments. SARS should have been enough warning to actually take action in the event of a pandemic.

Covid has mutated as expected and is doing expected things. Good thing we closed the borders tighter well after they had already entered the country.

Here we go. ICU jumps by 11 in two days. Saturday is generally a slower testing day and yet they reported a record 1072 cases. Fudge.

It’s even higher as off Monday maybe these variants are worse? Time will tell.

ICU went down by 3 today without only 2 deaths so there is hope. Vaccinations I believe hit a record today too. I still have a ways to go before I get the first shot since AstraZeneca got pushed to 55+. My only concern is the 4 month wait until the second shot is not studied.

There are a lot who won't. It could get tense. People are pretty divided over this man. It's getting nuts on social media which I'm trying to avoid.

Some Brazilians have now been ventilated without sedation. That is pure torture. I would take death over that. That is what happens when you play it like everything is normal.

Ontario meanwhile...man. horrible situation there. I thought Ford was generally doing a decent job but then I read he is idealogically opposed to sick leave and people are predictably coming in sick. Now they have a true lockdown. Can't leave your house except for essentials.

Here in BC...are we plateauing? Too soon to say but it looks like the circuit breaker might be slowly starting to kick. I have a friend who's unable to get out of bed, he said he could barely even text. Sounds like he's one step away from a hospital bed. Wife brought it home from school. He's in his 40s.

Stay safe Everyone! Vaccines are coming fast now, amazing news with 8 million extra Pfizer doses before summer.
