Great idea Fish!

we did touristed up to Powell River and then took the ferry to Courtenay Comox area. Weather was fantastic, saw a few Orca's in the distance (not in this pic, don't think people want to see dots in the water)
stayed at the Old House Hotel in Courtenay, would recommend.
Went to Love's Ice in Cumberland, sooo good!
anyway, it's a great place for a local getaway

I love the shitmulkameeeeenzzzzz, too bad that the kvr bridge got wiped out in Princeton! I rode my bike across it a number of years ago.

Here is a picture I took overlooking Hedley....

Man its beautiful. I'd be worried about wildfires in that town though, just forested right up to the edge of town in a hot dry summer climate.

Absolutely stunning pic. Tarm, l remember vacationing up in Sorrento back in the summer of 2004 July.
We drove to Salmon Arm and took the paddle wheeler out on the shuswap for a tour it was absolutely stunning scenery out on the swap,
we also hit the water slides up in Salmon Arm.

Saw a story on Global B.C. tonight that the Kicking Horse will be shut down for a month of construction due to lane widening is that the hair raising section.
I've driven both directions in summer and luckily the weather was dry but man the decent into Golden is a pull over and relieve yourself in Golden.
Going east on the climb is just as bad as your on the outside lane just don't look down.
What's everyone's scariest highway driving in B.C. or anywhere else?

Yeah, that stretch east of golden is probably one of the most the sketchiest parts of hwy 1.

Another candidate for the scariest highway driving in BC is Hwy 12 from Lytton to Lillooet through the Fraser canyon. Rocky cliffs right up near the highway and sheer drops right on the side. Similar to that stretch of hwy 1 east of golden but with less infrastructure improvements.

Highway 20, when it drops off the Chilcotin plateau down the hill to the Bella Coola valley, is quite exciting...

Sad to hear Osoyoos has canceled the July 1st Canada Day fireworks on the water Glace.
I've been to them a couple times there awesome something to do with they need a permit it wasn't needed before that's absolutely ridiculous and insane to require one after all these years.
Forget about no fun Vancouver how about no fun B.C. now so many summer events gone l guess that's why so many folks go camping no sense hanging around town there's dick all to do. Growing up l've said it before summer vacation was fun lots of events were going on. :x
