I really have no idea which party I'm voting for in the upcoming federal election. The problem is none of the leaders are any good.

I think John is dead serious, he mentioned the green party on the main thread as well.

It's really too bad Harper wasn't left at the helm , Trudeau clearly wasn't ready, he continues to have nice hair though.

Speaking of the Greens...apparently they have a real chance to win in the PEI provvies this fall.

There's the John we all remember.

On the other hand, I've heard some speculate that the Greens are actually a conservative-leaning party despite their love for the environment.

I think part of that perception might come from the lack of detail in their platform. While the NDP has a very clear left-wing platform concerning issues such as social justice and worker's rights, the Green Party's platform is more general and lacking in specifics on such issues. Their main plank is the environment; they don't have much to say about anything else, so you can basically draw your own conclusions about where they stand on other issues.

This is just theoretical, but I think that if the Greens ever became government, they would likely impose environmental regulations on business that would put them to the left of the NDP.

what I think most is people have an opinion but they rather keep it to themselves because it causes divides, and none of us want to do that. However this is the thread to let it rip if you want....

I probably haven't been paying close enough attention, but I'm unsure what Mr. Scheer is offering that sets him apart from Mr. Harper. I've even heard him referred to as Harper-lite or Harper Jr., though I'm unsure if that's a reference to his looks/personality, or his politics.

He'd need to be marked departure from Stephen Harper for me to considering voting Conservative. On the other hand, the competition isn't very inspiring either.
