Just as I thought. If it was Harper or another conservative leader the Canadian media would be all over it.

To be fair every public figure has one every once and a while though with Biden it certainly seems elevated.
I was pretty depressed when the Dems picked Biden."nothing will fundamentally change" is his go to phrase. He's been pleasantly decent as a Prez but he runs his mouth like the ancient old man he is.

Agreed Kells looks inept on the world stage with his off the cuff remarks indeed.

"In the past, the Croatian politician has compared vaccine mandates to capital punishment and said that tens of thousands of Europeans have died as a result of COVID-19 vaccines, a claim that has been disproven by the European Union’s drug regulator."

Why do we care about what this guy thinks about JT?

It's hard not to be concerned about escalation, there are so many different possibilities to get there. And Russia for whatever reason seems to want it to, they are lost. I wonder if Putin lost it a bit in his isolation.

Yes agreed Kells but one can only hope whatever forum of peace talks going on does bear fruits but somehow l'm skeptical as well.

Agreed Kells but IMO l feel some AF folks seem to want a confrontation or are reading too many doomsday online rags.
The ones that have the negative attitude are the ones that have negative weather posts as well go figure.

I'll be honest with you I try my best to not talk about how pessimistic I am on here or with friends or whenever. I'm probably more of a doomer than some of those folks. But that kind of talk doesn't do much good honestly, except for getting it off your chest. Problem is it brings others down and that's not really fair.

What i've realized is that everybody should try to enjoy life while things are relatively stable here. It's not at all guaranteed to continue even for the next minute so soak it in. Look across the pond and wonder if our daily problems are really that much when you see refugees crossing borders, hear of Russians kidnapping thousands of civilians, throwing teenaged conscripts in to get killed. Its so fricking sad but it makes you appreciate what we have right now..

Oh l totally agree with you Kells, l think the problem is the feeling of insecurity during an event like this but as the day's go on it's like oh well enjoy your blessings you have if that makes sense.
It's sad to think that governments have our lives in their hands.

After analyzing the whole Russia Ukraine situation for just over a month now, my thoughts this going to drag on and on.
Poutine may have decided not to over throw the Zelynskyy regime but to totally pulverize Ukraine to nothing.
It will just become a backburner news story as time ticks on.
History tends to repeat itself life goes on people get on with their lives the worrying stops it becomes a part of life like the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan or Vietnam. The U.S. is pissed cause there not at the negotiating table sleeyvJoe had his chance when he came into power in 2021 but blew that chance this could have been negotiated and avoided but sleepy missed the boat.
Thoughts?

The AF Ukraine Russian thread has become a cess pool of off topic political arguing it's entertaining to say the least expecting Fred to pull the plug on it again and do a reset again.

Heard several news sources saying Russian troop morale is low, they even mistakenly shot down one of their own aircraft. as well as destroying their own tanks, and some troops not carrying out orders.
Reports surfacing Poutines cronies are scared to tell him how badly his troops are doing in Ukraine.
